Ain't It Cool News is reporting that Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema have resolved their legal disputes and are now moving forward with two new films based on J.R.R. Tolkein's The Hobbit. For those of you who don't know, Jackson and New Line's previous collaboration-- an independent short about a magical ring and all these goofy little bastards who, like, want to wear it or destroy it or something-- later inspired the legendary The Lord of the G-Strings: The Femaleship of the String, a staple of late-night Cinemax since 2003.
