A Brief Update From Team BrIsaacson
Bloggin' atcha live from the Ft. Lauderdale airport, which graciously has a public wireless connection.
It's 9:25 in the morning. We board our plane in exactly one hour. We'll arrive in about seven hours; Columbia two hours after that. After checking into the hotel and changing out of our grungy "travel clothes," we'll dine at Sophia's Italian restaurant, then head back to the hotel for a good night's sleep before tomorrow's excitement. That's right, dear reader-- we're going to start drinking in the morning in anticipation of Saturday's Missouri- Nebraska game.
Actually, as loyal Incertaperfectsleepers know, Emily's defending her dissertation tomorrow. Brian, Amy, and others have already wished her luck, and I'm adding my voice to theirs now. But she doesn't need luck-- she's hella smart, and is going to knock her entire committee on its collective ass. They'll be all, "Damn!" And she'll be all, "Dr. Isaacson, fool! You betta recognize! What!"
'Cause that's how she talks.
Anyway. Send a positive thought Emily's way tomorrow at around 10:00 a.m.
