It had to happen

Maybe I'll drive down to City Hall and leave a blessing of my own.

Gay rights activists in the state have launched a drive to engulf the Fort Lauderdale mayor with toilet paper to mock his comments about gay sex in public bathrooms.

"We are encouraging people to mail either a roll or several sheets of toilet paper to the mayor at City Hall to help him to wipe his dirty mind clean," said Brian Winfield, spokesman for Equality Florida, a gay rights organization that helped start the toilet paper protest Friday.

Jim Naugle is, you may remember, the tool who recently suggested Fort Lauderdale purchase a high-tech toilet in order to stem the raging public gay sex problem we have down here, even though I haven't been able capture any video of it as of yet.

I keep hoping, however.

Update: Via InterstateQ, here's contact information via Equality Florida.
Send your roll of toilet paper to:

The Not So Honorable Jim Naugle
City Hall
100 North Andrews Avenue
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Tel. (954) 828-5003/5004

You can also email the mayor an electronic roll of toilet paper by clicking here:

Naugle, known for making inflammatory remarks about many groups, continued with his attack saying, “I don’t use the word ‘gay.’ I use the word ‘homosexual.’ Most of them aren’t gay. They’re unhappy.”

When you mail your toilet paper to the mayor, be sure to let him know just how happy you are - happy that this is his last term of office.

Have fun with it, but please, make sure the toilet paper is clean and unused. Thanks.
